I took 12X12 scrapbook paper and cut out 2 heart halves. I removed the heart and taped the "border" on the canvas. That way, if a print went outside of the heart it wouldn't mess up the rest of the canvas. After all of the prints were dry, I removed the border and this is what remained.

Hand-print Heart Canvas
My friend Dana made one of these with primary colors and it was SO cute!! I stole her idea for Father's Day and changed the colors. Thanks, Dana! Check out her Etsy shop - Dana's Etsy Shop - she's a talented chick! :)

Another quick and easy treat for Easter parties.

Thanks for helping me BLOOM!
At the end of pre-school the past 2 years, Caden has given his teachers a gift card. Gift cards are nice but we wanted it to be a little more fun. So I threw together these arrangements after gathering supplies from Hobby Lobby and added a picture of Caden. The gift card on one and the frame on the other says "thanks for helping me bloom." His teachers are so great, I'd give them a gift card EVERY day if I could afford it. :-)

Kissing Fish Handprint Craft
I got this idea after seeing something similar on Pinterest. Since I have 2 kids I thought kissing fish would be cute. My little one likes it when we give him fish kisses, so I think it's pretty appropriate. Besides my freehand fish bowl looking like an oddly shaped crystal ball, it came out okay for the first try. Especially for a squirmy 2 year old saying "ewww" as I painted his hand. After the kids searched for rocks for 30 minutes without success, I took some from my neighbor's pile of gravel (thanks, Cristi!) and hot glued them to the bottom. :-)

Valentine's Shovels
I found these on Pinterest.com and thought they'd be easy to make for class parties. All you need is some plastic beach shovels, a silver or white Sharpie, small bags, candy, and ribbon. I made the tags with my Cricut (Doodle Charms) but you could also write on the back of the shovel.
Happy Valentine's!

Reindeer Donuts
I forgot to post these before Christmas. My oldest doesn't care for white powered donuts, so he didn't want the snowman donuts for his class treat. So I made the reindeer donuts instead. They were really easy to make - Hostess Chocolate donuts, break some pretzels for the antlers, peanut M&M's or Skittles for the nose, and white cupcake gems for the eyes (they are found with the sprinkles at the store).

Crayon Wreaths
Pin It
I saw one of these on Pinterest.com and thought they would be cute for my son's pre-school teachers. The kids had to miss their Christmas parties at school, so they won't get them until tomorrow. They weren't as easy as they look and I had to start over a few times to get them to look decent.
What you need (per wreath):
*6" embroidery hoop
*10" embroidery hoop
*box of 64 count crayons
*hot glue
*ribbon
*blocks or whatever decorations you choose
-Embroidery hoops come with 2 pieces. You will only need one piece from each hoop.
-Place the smaller hoop directly in the center of the larger hoop.
-Place a dab of hot glue on each ring and place the crayon right side up. On the first few, I lined up the bottom ring on the crayon wrapper to the small hoop.
-As you continue with each crayon, make sure the bottom bumps up the one that's already in place.
-It will start out like this:

-As you continue to add crayons, make sure it's creating a circular pattern as you glue them. The first few times I started, it looked too boxy because I kept lining up the wrappers instead of the bottom of the crayon.
-You can see where I had to remove the crayons and start over....
-When you are finished, run ribbon from the back around 2 crayons, leaving some slack, knot and bow. That's it!
-I used 53 crayons on one wreath and 54 on the other. I found the block letters and apple at Hobby Lobby near the unfinished wood section. Good luck!
